The cult rock band, whose sound was first forged in a small town Northern Ireland in 1989 started as a trio, consisted of Andy Cairns (Guitar, Vocals), Michael McKeegan (Bass) and Fyfe Ewing (Drums). Their first record deal was signed with the respected London label Wiija and resulted in the release of two mini albums ‘Babyteeth’ (1991) and ‘Pleasure Death’ (1992), characterized as aggressive. Their first significant success was during the cooperation with A&M Records, when in 1993 from the album Nurse they launched their first single - the speed-freak anthem ‘Teethgrinder’ that reached number 30 at the official UK top list. They have reached their commercial top when the album ‘Troublegum’ was sold out in 750.000 copies all around the world.

The dark-hued and melodramatic album ‘Infernal Love’ included the fourth member of the group – the cellist/guitarist Martin McCarrick. A whole new change followed in the band’s structure when one of the founding members, Fyfe Ewing, was gone and his place was taken by Graham Hopkins. The quartet recorded ‘Semi-Detached’, their final album for the crumbling A&M label in 1998.
Freedom from major label brought out the best in Therapy? – the experimental, but sharp album ‘Suicide Pact – You First’ published on new label Ark21 in the year 1999. ‘So Much For The Ten Year Plan’ in 2000, then ‘Shameless’ in 2001 and one more substitute changed the structure of the group when Hopkins was replaced by Neil Cooper, a drummer who gave the band new fire. In 2003 the band released the album ‘High Anxiety’ (first release on new label Spitfire Records), but it was the next album ‘Never Apologise Never Explain’ that got them back on the stool.
Therapy? have far surpassed all the expectations by publishing the rock album ‘One Cure Fits All’, which showcases monster guitar riffs, huge choruses and hit songs.
